Spotlight is the next step after Main Stage — a focused, higher-level training class for 14–18 year olds who are ready to deepen their craft, strengthen their technique, and work as part of a company with real creative ambition.
This weekly two and half hour session is where performers start training with greater detail and intention: developing stronger acting choices, more confident vocal work, sharper movement and stage presence, and the ability to collaborate like a true ensemble. Sessions are practical, challenging and supportive — designed to help young artists grow not only in skill, but in confidence, discipline and artistic identity.

Led by qualified artists, teachers, industry professionals and visiting specialists, Spotlight creates a high-end, professional environment where students can explore different styles and approaches; from musical theatre and text-based drama to screen-style performance, devised work and character-driven storytelling.
Whether your young person is aiming for further training, auditions, leadership opportunities, or simply wants a space to create at a higher level, Spotlight meets them with the right balance of encouragement and expectation.
Just like a real training theatre company, Spotlight members are always working towards a production or performance opportunity.
Students experience the full process — workshopping, rehearsal, refinement, problem-solving, and taking to the stage — building the kind of resilience, teamwork, communication and self discipline that lasts well beyond the final curtain call.
